SHORTAGE HANDLING If we receive fewer items than expected (within 5% industry variance): I will calculate the value of missing items based on manifest pricing Issue credits to all co-buyers proportionally Credits can be applied to: (a) future deals I organize, (b) refund request, or (c) donation to charity Credits issued within 48 hours of shortage confirmation If shortage exceeds 5%: Automatic partial refunds issued through platform No credit option—refunds processed immediately Refund amount = (shortage % above 5%) × your spot cost 2. CONDITION DISCREPANCIES If items arrive in worse condition than manifested: I will assess value reduction for each damaged item Co-buyers with damaged items receive credit for 50% of assessed value loss Example: $100 item arrives damaged, estimated now worth $40 → $30 credit issued Co-buyers can accept credit or request replacement item from remaining inventory 3. DISTRIBUTION FAIRNESS To ensure fair distribution across all co-buyers: I pre-sort items into equal-value boxes based on manifest pricing Each box labeled with estimated total value Co-buyers assigned boxes via random draw (recorded) If values don't match perfectly, price differences under $20 are considered acceptable variance Differences over $20 trigger credit adjustments TIMELINE FOR RESOLUTION I commit to resolving variance issues within: 24 hours: Inventory completed, variances documented 48 hours: Credits calculated and posted in deal chat 72 hours: Credits issued or refund process initiated Weekly updates if extended resolution needed 5. COMMUNICATION PLAN If variances occur, I will: Post detailed variance report in deal chat with photos Create spreadsheet showing: expected items, actual items, value differences, credits owed Send individual messages to each affected co-buyer with their specific credit amount Provide clear instructions for claiming credits or requesting refunds
