VARIANCE HANDLING PLAN Last Updated: 2/8/2026 1. SHORTAGE HANDLING If we receive fewer items than expected (within 5% industry variance): - I will reduce everyone's share proportionally - Example: If we're short 10 items out of 200, everyone's share decreases by 5% - No refunds for shortages within 5% (industry standard) If shortage exceeds 5%: - I will document the shortage with photos - Contact the platform immediately for dispute resolution - Partial refunds may be issued based on actual shortage percentage 2. CONDITION DISCREPANCIES If items arrive in worse condition than manifested: - I will photograph all damaged items before distribution - Damaged items will be offered at a 50% credit toward spot cost - Co-buyers can accept damaged items (with credit) or decline them - Declined items will be donated or disposed of responsibly 3. DISTRIBUTION FAIRNESS To ensure fair distribution across all co-buyers: - I will create equal-value groups of items before pickup - Each co-buyer receives their proportional share based on spots purchased - I use a spreadsheet to track item values and ensure balanced distribution - If perfect balance isn't possible, I'll randomize who gets slightly better/worse shares
